FULTON — Fulton Block Builders will hold a community information meeting about its 2027 Block Challenge Program at 6 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2026, at the Fulton Polish Home, according to a release from the organization.

Fulton homeowners can learn about the program and application process, ask questions and get advice on preparing a competitive application. The meeting is open to those ready to organize their neighbors and those who want to learn how the program works. Refreshments will be provided.

Any block in the City of Fulton can apply. Fulton Block Builders said it has secured additional funding specifically to encourage more East Side neighborhoods to participate.

The Block Challenge is a neighborhood revitalization program that brings neighbors together to make exterior improvements to their homes and properties. The organization says the effort builds neighborhood connections, increases property values, strengthens community pride and encourages further investment in Fulton.

Each participating property owner on an approved Challenge Block is eligible for a dollar-for-dollar matching grant for exterior improvements, up to $1,000.

Participating homeowners can also receive special discounts from sponsoring hardware stores and garden centers. Additional bonus incentives are available for corner properties, block leaders and homeowners who use historically appropriate colors featured in the organization’s Historical Colors collection.

More information is available on the Fulton Block Builders website, including its Paint Fulton section.
