FULTON – Many residents remember the long, beautiful—and very HOT—summer of 2025. Along with it came vibrant new flowerpots and flourishing gardens that added color and charm throughout the City of Fulton.
Looking ahead to 2026, members of the Fulton Garden Club (FGC) are stepping up once again to help keep the city blooming. Volunteers have committed to watering and maintaining flowerpots and garden spaces all season long. To make this effort more manageable, John Iorio and Deb Patterson recently met with Linda Eagan to map out a practical plan. Recognizing that carrying buckets of water can be physically demanding, they plan to apply for a Fulton Block Builders (FBB) PRIDE Grant to purchase a 200-gallon water tank, trailer, and pump. With both John and Deb able to tow the equipment, FGC volunteers will be able to efficiently water gardens using hoses.
“Keeping Fulton beautiful makes the city a more pleasant place to be,” said Deb Patterson. John Iorio added, “Research shows that beautification with flowers and plants creates greater pride in the community.”
Community members interested in getting involved in this exciting effort are encouraged to visit the Fulton Garden Club on Facebook to learn more.
Join the momentum as Fulton Block Builders celebrates its fabulous 10th anniversary in 2026. PRIDE Grant applications will be accepted throughout the year—offering even more opportunities to help our city grow and thrive. https://www.fultonblockbuilders.com
