The Fulton Lions Club is supporting the United Way of Greater Oswego County’s Fifth Annual Stone Soup, Too! lunch to benefit local food pantries with a donation of $500, it was announced by Fulton Club President, David Dingman.
“Our club has supported this wonderful United Way program since it began,” Dingman said. “The event helps supply local food pantries throughout Oswego County, and Kathy’s Cakes and Specialty Treats has joined with us and many other local businesses to ensure that it is a success.”
Stone Soup, Too! is 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., March 19 at Holy Trinity Parish, 309 Buffalo St., Fulton. The donation for lunch is $5 per person and soups will be provided by Blue Moon Grill, Tavern On The Lock, Mimi’s Drive-In and The Foursome Diner.
The Fulton club is one of the largest and most active in their district. Lions clubs are committed to sight and hearing preservation. The Fulton Lions Club, also known for their Lions Loot Sweepstakes and Labor Day Duck Derby, provides financial assistance for those in need of eyeglasses, eye exams and hearing aids to residents in the Greater Fulton area.
