FULTON, NY – Margaret Fitzgerald was inducted as a new member, and a new slate of officers was installed at the June Fulton Lions Club meeting.
Fitzgerald was sponsored by President Melissa Champion, and the induction ceremony was conducted by Past President Patrick Devendorf. ““We are delighted to have Margaret join our club and we all look forward to working with her on our service and outreach projects throughout the year,” Champion said.

Devendorf also inducted the new slate of officers for the 2026-27 Lions year. Officers included: David Dingman, president; David Guyer, secretary; Savahna Lisi, assistant secretary; Susan Daratt, treasurer; Ron Browning, assistant treasurer; Melissa Champion, immediate past president; Renee Doney, membership chair; Steve Chirello, marketing and program chair; Becky Devendorf, service chair; Dennis Rupert, tail twister; Sue Ellen Burgess-Thompson, lion tamer; Alex Camelio, assistant lion tamer. Pat Devendorf and Linda Huges were inducted as directors for one year, and David Wolford and Brett Tallents were inducted as directors for two years. This is Dingman’s second time serving as club president.
The Fulton Lions Club, known for their Lions Loot Sweepstakes, annual Charby’s Duck Derby, and Mane Event Comedy Night, provides financial assistance for those in need of eyeglasses, eye exams and hearing aids to residents in the Greater Fulton area.
