FULTON – Fulton Noon Rotarians are seeking teams to participate in their 2nd annual cornhole tournament at The Yard at Lakeview Lanes on Saturday, May 17th from noon to 4pm.
The tourney is limited to 32 teams with cash prizes for the top three teams. Players will also have access to exclusive raffles like the ever-popular cash jar and a lotto board. Entry fee is $50 per team of two (no singles please); the tournament will be set up as double elimination.
“This event helps expand on the great work Rotary is known for throughout our community and throughout our region,” said Brittney Jerred, president of the club. Some of the work Rotary regularly supports includes purchasing dictionaries for elementary school students in the Fulton school district and supporting organizations that improve the lives of Fulton residents.
Last year’s inaugural tournament exceeded the club’s goals and allowed the club to support or increase support of multiple community organizations, including the Fulton Wrestling Club, Blessings in a Backpack, and the CNY Community Arts Center.
“We’re looking to build on that success so we can continue to be there when the community needs us most,” said club secretary Nancy Ellis. “Plus, it’s an absolutely great time!”
Rain date for the tournament is Sunday, May 18th.
