Fulton Public Library Presents Quilting for Beginners

Submitted article

Fulton Public Library will be hosting Stephanie McCall, of Quilts by Commission, for a beginner’s quilting class.  There will be two classes held – Wednesdays from 10 to 11 and then from 1:30 to 2:30.  It will be six weeks long, starting on September 24th and ending on October 29th.

Beginning Quilting One – is the “Let’s Start at the Very Beginning” class that Mrs. McCall enjoys teaching first.  Her description of the class follow:  “If you have ever wanted to use your sewing machine to learn the art of quilting, right from the beginning (Here is a ¼” seam!), than this is your chance.  We’ll make a small wall hanging together learning every step and trick that will get you quilting like a pro!  Handouts with tips from experts, and a relaxed environment will insure your success.  Never again be afraid to make your own beautiful fabric creations!”

Stephanie McCall has been quilting for seven years and owns her own “Quilting by Commission” business, in Fulton.  She is an energetic and very enthusiastic person, especially about quilting.  She is planning to have Level Two Quilting class, starting in November.

There is a $70 cost for the class, which includes things you will need to get started.  Registration forms are available at the main desk at Fulton Public Library.  If you have any questions, feel free to call Mrs. McCall at 593-7115 or the Library at 592-5159.
