FULTON – At a recent meeting the Fulton Noon Rotary Club honored Rotarian Sean Broderick with the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship for his efforts in supporting the area’s youth and for his incredible record of service to the community.
The award is named for Rotary’s founder, Paul Harris, a Chicago lawyer who started the organization with three business associates in 1905. Rotarians often designate a Paul Harris Fellow as a tribute to those who follow the Rotary’s banner “service above self.”
Broderick works in the Fulton City School District, now acting as the Coordinator for the Early College High School (ECHS) Program and promoting synergy between the Fulton City School District, Fulton City government, and Fulton Rotarians. He was also very instrumental in the development of the “Dream Courts” located near the Fulton War Memorial.
Fulton Noon Rotary meets at 12:00 noon on the first three Thursdays of the month at the Tavern on the Lock in Fulton.
