FULTON – At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary Club meeting, Rotarian Dan Farfaglia introduced members of the Oswego County Youth Court.
Youth Court is a family court diversion program aimed at reducing juvenile delinquency in the county of Oswego.
It is a trial by peers process for the first-time offender between the ages of seven and 18.
Youth Court members are students from area junior and senior high schools who volunteer their time to listen to real criminal cases and decide on a punishment for the offenders.
Students in grades 7-12 who are interested in becoming Youth Court members can call 315-349-3575 for training information.
The Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 a.m. at Fulton’s Riverside Inn.
