Fulton Savings Bank Supports Catholic Charities Of Oswego County

FULTON, NY – Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s first-ever Volleyball Tournament Fundraiser received some much-needed support recently as Fulton Savings Bank signed on as a major sponsor of the event.

Scheduled for Aug. 22, Catholic Charities’ co-ed volleyball tournament will serve as a fundraiser for the agency’s food pantry and CYO program.

“We are happy to welcome Fulton Savings Bank as a major sponsor of our fundraiser. The support we receive from community leaders such as Fulton Savings Bank is essential in allowing us to continue our mission of serving those who are in desperate need,” said executive director of Catholic Charities of Oswego County, Mary-Margaret Pezzella-Pekow.

The tournament, which will begin at noon,will be hosted by Cheap Seats Sports Bar, 6 Hillside Ave., Oswego, and will pit six teams, sox players per team, in a double elimination tournament with the opportunity to win prizes of $200 for first place and $100 for second place.

To add to the fun, there will also be a bag auction and a 50 / 50 drawing.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Catholic Charities’ food pantry, which served more than 15,000 people and provided more than 63,000 meals last year, and the CYO, which offers a wide variety of recreational and educational programs for area youth including its popular mentoring program for elementary and high school students.

In addition, Lee Victory, owner of Cheap Seats, will also donate 20 % of all food and beverage sales during the tournament to Catholic Charities.
