FULTON, NY – Members of the Fulton School Mentoring Program had the opportunity to take part in a community scavenger hunt.
On July 14, participants met up on South First Street to find clues located in that area.
Clues took them to locations such as the historic mural on the Salvation Army building wall, the Freedom Tree, the city library and the wall of photos located in the Fulton Municipal Building.
Each team had a 50-minute timeframe to collect as many clues as they could.
Each clue had a specific point value and teams coming in past the 50-minute mark were penalized for each minute they were late.
The winning team was mentee Kristina Bowman and her mentor Wendy Tetro.
Jerrica Smith and her mentor Christina Piscitelli finished second, just two points behind.
Following the scavenger hunt, participants enjoyed a pizza party courtesy of Red Barron Pizza, Dominoes, Pizza Hut and Price Chopper.
The Fulton School Mentoring Program matches adult mentors with Fulton youth ages 8-15 and is a collaboration between Oswego County Opportunities, the Fulton Community Task Force, Catholic Charities of Oswego County and The Fulton School District.
