Funds Available For Services To Assist the Homeless

FULTON, NY – COACH, Oswego County’s Continuum of Care Committee addressing the issues of homelessness in Oswego County, is holding an informational session for any organization interested in applying for funds through the Federal Dept. of Housing and Urban Development Continuum of Care grant application to provide housing and services to the homeless in Oswego County.

An informational session will be held on July 25, at 1 p.m. at Oswego County Opportunities, 239 Oneida St.

The purpose of this meeting is to review the priorities for eliminating homelessness in Oswego County as established by COACH and the priorities for the HUD application, identifying organizations interested in applying and opportunities for submitting collaborative applications.

COACH, which stands for County of Oswego Advocates Challenging Homelessness, includes representatives from Oswego County’s human service agencies, local elected officials, concerned community members and government officials.  The committee works to raise the awareness of, and find effective ways to address, the issue of homelessness in Oswego County.
