This donation makes G & C an event sponsor for OCO’s 2011 Bowl-A-Fun.

David Lepage, G & C president, said, “It is extremely important to us that, as our company grows and prospers, we share our success with the communities that we all live and work in. Your organization provides caring and support to those in need, and we are honored to be able to support you in some small way. On behalf of the 200 people that make up our company, please accept this donation.”

Cooper-Currier expressed OCO’s appreciation for the generous donation.

“We are extremely grateful for G & C’s support,” she said. “This donation will truly make a difference in the lives of the thousands of people we serve.”

G & C Food Distributors & Brokers is the first event sponsor to sign on for OCO’s 10th annual Bowl-A-Fun, which takes place April 2 at Lakeview Lanes.

This fund-raising event features friendly competition among teams of businesses, community members, agency employees and consumers who enjoy an afternoon of bowling, door prize drawings, raffles and food while helping support OCO’s mission of helping people, supporting communities and changing lives. That same day, OCO’s annual Golden Opportunities raffle prize-winning tickets will be drawn.

Lepage, who is also an Oswego County resident, noted that through the vision of the company’s ownership, Dwight “Kip” Palmer, the employees of G & C have learned that “only by giving back and sharing can we truly be successful and fulfilled in what we do.”

G & C Food Distributors is located on Tex Simone Drive in Syracuse.
