FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
G. Ray Bodley Class of 1991 celebrates 35th Reunion
with Fundraising Campaign for
the Fulton Chapter of Blessings in a Backpack
FULTON, NY – G. Ray Bodley High School Class of 1991 is coming together for their “Forever Young” 35th class reunion on July 25, 2026.
As planning for the reunion unfolded last year, classmates reconnected with people back home and learned that a close friend, teaching in the Fulton school system, is involved with Blessings in a Backpack. That connection quickly turned meaningful, sparking conversations that led to action and reached beyond the reunion event itself.
In the few short weeks since the fundraising campaign launched for #1764, the Fulton Chapter of Blessings in a Backpack:
nearly $600 has been raised on behalf of the class of ‘91
3 class representatives helped pack backpacks on May 30th
8 classmates are slated to volunteer at the the Blessings in a Backpack CHICKEN BBQ & bake sale @ the Polish Home on Saturday, June 13th, from 11:45
Anyone can donate on behalf of the Class of 1991 using this link: https://giving.blessingsinabackpack.org/p2p/696764/george-davis-705b2f51-561f-460e-ad38-340a2bff01bc
Class of 1991 planning committee members include Annie Alarie, Julie Casbolt, George Davis, Tracy Greenwood, Joy Kidder, Jason Knapp, Kimberly Lee, Erin Marley, Julie Pawlewicz and Tracie Schoenwald.
As memories resurfaced it became clear again that the class of ‘91 has always been unique, organizing the schools first fashion show and celebrating the senior dinner dance on a boat in Oswego Harbor.
The classmates plan to continue fundraising efforts beyond reunion weekend because of a quiet pride in who they are coupled with a sense of unity that had never really faded with time. The class is not just gathering to celebrate the past, they are also thinking about the present and the students who walk the same halls they once did.
Tickets to the Blessings in a Backpack CHICKEN BBQ & bake sale on 6/13 at 12p will be available at the Polish Home, 153 W 1st St S, Fulton, NY.
