G. Ray Bodley High School Students Rally to Support Local Community

Students at G. Ray Bodley High School rallied to support their local community this holiday season.

Students at G. Ray Bodley High School needed three vehicles to transport the 1,270 canned and non-perishable food items that they collected to support families in their local community. From left with the collected items are: Mary Morrison, 12th grade; Jennifer Coleman, French Club Advisor; Cecilia Leyva, 10th grade; Dylan Galletta, 10th grade; Guadalupe Leyva, 10th grade; Liliana Rivera, 9th grade; Mackenzie Bogart, 9th grade; Vanessa Langdon, 12th grade; Cathy Cronk, HOPE Club Advisor; and Pat Fink (squatting), 12th grade.

Members of the school’s HOPE Club (Helping Other People Everywhere), in conjunction with the school’s FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), French Club, and Student Senate organized a canned food drive at their school just prior to winter recess.

In just two weeks, the school collected 1270 canned and non-perishable food items for distribution to families in the community through the local Salvation Army.
