Gadek Wins Fulton Lions’ Dowd Scholarship

Kaylee Gadek, a 2009 graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School, was awarded the Fulton Lions Club’s 2009 H. and Mary Down Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship provides the winner with $500 per year for four years toward their college costs. Gadek will be attending LeMoyne College, Syracuse, and plans to major in Biology. On hand for the presentation were, from left: Steve Chirello, immediate past president, Steve Young , scholarship committee chair, Gadek, Steve Bero, scholarship committee, and Fulton King Lion Dave Guyer. The Fulton Lions Club is the largest and most active in Central New York. Their motto is “We Serve.” To date, the club has donated more than $9,000 in eye exams and eyeglasses to Fulton residents.
