OSWEGO – Residents at Bishop’s Commons welcomed their neighbors, Riley Elementary School fourth graders from Judy Mooney’s class, for a holiday-related construction project.

Gingerbread squares, frosting and assorted candies for decoration all came together in a creative way, with each team of students and residents making unique and tasty gingerbread houses which the students got to keep when completed!
The students were at Bishop’s Commons as part of their regular monthly visit that brings seniors and students together in a spirit of teamwork and comradery. “We are always glad to welcome our Riley school neighbors,” said Cheryl Cullinan, director of activities at Bishop’s Commons. “Their visit certainly helped make this time of year more festive and our folks. Thanks to each student who joined us for the fun-filled afternoon.”
The program with Riley Elementary students is one of many inter-generational experience residents at Bishop’s Commons enjoy throughout the year.
