Giving Thanks Food and Beverage Pairing Event set for November 14th

Members of planning committee meet to finalize plans and sample some of the beverages that will be available at Oswego County Opportunities’ (OCO) Giving Thanks Food and Beverage Pairing. The event will be held November 14th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center, 26 East First St., Oswego. FULTONMembers of the planning committee for Oswego County Opportunities (OCO) Giving Thanks Food and Beverage Pairing event are finalize details for this year’s event.

Presented by G & C Foods, Eagle Beverage, Constellation and National Grid, Giving Thanks brings together some of Oswego County’s favorite restaurants and eateries including Canale’s Restaurant, Ji-Woo’s, Kiyomi Japanese Steak House, Lakeview Lanes, Mill House Market, Mimi’s Drive-In, Tatlim Bakery, Texas Roadhouse, Driveway Inn, Eis House, GS Steamers, Lakeview Lanes, The Press Box,  Riverwalk Bagels, Uly’s Seafood, Oompa Loompya’s, CiTi Culinary and others serving tastes of their most popular menu items. Each dish is paired with a beverage expertly selected by Eagle Beverage Company to enhance the flavor.

OCO’s Giving Thanks, to be held November 14th at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center, 26 East First Street in Oswego, serves as a fundraiser for OCO’s “Thrive in ‘25” initiative: From Hardship to Hope”, creating pathways to self-sufficiency and a stronger community for all.

Giving Thanks will also feature an Upcycle Art Auction with a fascinating collection of creatively designed artwork. Entertainment for the event will be provided by acclaimed singer/songwriter Cam Caruso.

OCO will be hosting a food drive during Giving Thanks as well.

“With the government shutdown threatening and disrupting vital food assistance programs such as SNAP, local pantries have reached a breaking point,” said OCO Development Coordinator Bridget Dolbear. “Families, seniors, and children who rely on these services are facing a desperate situation. To help stock the shelves of our local food banks, OCO is taking action and will be hosting a food drive at our Giving Thanks Food and Beverage Pairing. We encourage all attending to please bring a donation of shelf-stable foods.”
