FULTON – Fulton Noon Rotarians announced there are limited team slots remaining to participate in their 2nd annual cornhole tournament. The Yard at Lakeview Lanes will host the event, which takes place on Saturday, May 17th from noon to 4pm; with a rain date of May 18th.
The tourney will include a maximum of 32 teams, with cash prizes for the top three teams. Entry fee is $50 per team of two (no singles please); the tournament will be set up as double elimination.
The event will also feature exclusive raffles, including a beautiful custom SU cornhole set donated by the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation that also includes custom bags.
The best part is that all the fun supports a wide variety of wonderful community initiatives.
“Rotary is known throughout our community for its commitment to our students, to enriching our community’s public spaces, and so much more,” said Brittney Jerred, president of the club. Some of the work Rotary regularly supports includes purchasing dictionaries for elementary school students in the Fulton school district, awarding scholarships to graduating seniors from G. Ray Bodley High School, and supporting organizations that improve the lives of Fulton residents through both volunteerism and donations.
Last year’s inaugural tournament exceeded our expectations and we hope to do the same this year. “The more success we have, the more we’re able to give back, and that’s what it’s really all about,” noted Nancy Kush Ellis, the club secretary.
