Goosey Lucy Expands To New Location

OSWEGO, NY – Goosey Lucy, a gently loved apparel and accessories store, has moved to a new location at 142 W. Second St., according to owner Kimberly Bowman.

The store, which was previously located at 213 W. First St., will now be able to offer expanded accessories, Melissa and Doug toys, as well as new children’s clothing lines.

“We are very excited about the new location,” said Bowman. “The freshly renovated space, new atmosphere, and convenient parking and location has been great for our customers. The additional space has also allowed us to now consider new product lines and other seasonal/holiday promotions going forward.”

Goosey Lucy moved to the new storefront in early October, and is now finalizing plans for a grand opening celebration to be held Nov. 14, 15, and 16.

According to Bowman, there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony held Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. with refreshments, door prizes, and other fun surprises.

The remainder of the weekend celebration and open house will allow new and existing customers to explore the variety of products and new store layout.

There will also be grand opening specials, snacks, and other goodies for people to enjoy.

“We’re really encouraged by the positive feedback we have already received on the new store, and want to be able to showcase it to others at our grand opening event,” Bowman added.

“For the past six years, Goosey Lucy has become a popular destination for families looking for brand names, yet affordable accessories and clothing for children,” she said. “And, another thing that is attractive to our customers, is that our store is really season-less. If someone needs a bathing suit or sandals for vacation in December, we can generally provide these items, whereas other stores might not.”

Goosey Lucy’s Grandparents’ Club and Nesting Club have also become popular with customers.

The clubs provide discounts, monthly drawings, and other specials for loyal customers.

“It’s a great way to provide back something to our customers who frequent our store,” said Bowman. “And, also encourages others to join and take advantage of the store specials and discounts.”

Goosey Lucy is open Tuesday and Wednesday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Sunday noon – 4 p.m.
