In the study of the human body, first grade students at Granby Elementary School have learned all about blood and its importance in life.

To put that knowledge into a practical community service project, the students and their teachers have organized a blood drive at the school to be held on October 22 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.
The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be on hand and organizers are asking those interested in donating to stop by.
The students have set a goal of 24 pints of blood donated and hope to exceed that goal.
