Granby Elementary School students lined the hallways and members of the school band played the Olympic theme as students from Mary Throne’s Oswego County BOCES special education class at the school, boarded buses for transport to the Central New York Special Olympics.

Amid thunderous cheers and chants of “do you best” and “go for the gold” the students paraded down the hall alongside staff and their sixth grade supporters.
The Special Olympians were off to participate in the Special Olympics festivities and competitions at the Cicero-North Syracuse athletic complex.
Sixth grade student volunteers accompanied the athletes to support and cheer them on during their events.
