GS Steamers Unveils ‘The Deck’ At Ribbon Cutting, Open House

OSWEGO, NY – Family, friends, local government officials, and business affiliates gathered June 18 at “The Deck” at GS Steamers Bar and Grill for a ribbon cutting – open house ceremony, according to Shane Broadwell, a partner with Broadwell Companies, the family-run entity that owns the Oswego restaurant.

Gathered at the ribbon cutting ceremony are from left: Dave Dano, Operation Oswego County; Mary Flett, Oswego County Legislator, District 17; Michael Myers, Second Ward City of Oswego Alderman; Shane Broadwell, Broadwell Companies; Elisa Broadwell; Randy Bateman, Oswego Mayor; Laura Broadwell; George Broadwell Jr., Broadwell Companies; Jennifer Hill, Greater Oswego/Fulton Chamber of Commerce; Linda Goodness and Mary Vanouse, city of Oswego Community Development Office.“The Deck,” which is located at 71 E. First St., opened officially for business at GS Steamers on June 13.

The restaurant now offers patrons a beautiful new perspective of downtown Oswego, the Oswego Harbor and Lake Ontario.

A new, expanded lunch and dinner menu, outside bar, drink specials, and seating for up to 125 people compliment the expanded facility.

“We’re very enthusiastic about the feedback we’ve already received from the community with regard to the new deck,” Broadwell said. “The support we gathered from our local development agencies and the city of Oswego helped significantly with the project, and we’re very grateful to everyone who helped allow us to provide this incredible new view of our beautiful harbor.”

GS Steamers and The Deck are open daily for lunch and dinner from noon – 9 p.m., Monday-Saturday, and 2 – 8 p.m. on Sunday.
