Fifth-grade students were welcomed to Dennis M. Kenney Middle School where they explored their new classrooms, met teachers and administrators, and acclimated to the middle school environment.

Down the road less than a half a mile, the Class of 2029 — incoming ninth-graders — attended Freshman Academy at Hannibal High School. Administrators and teachers were available throughout the afternoon to offer guidance, answer questions, help with lockers and assist students navigate their new school setting with confidence.

Both orientation events were designed to ensure a smooth transition and to foster excitement for the academic journey ahead.

Summer vacation is rapidly coming to an end for students, as Hannibal CSD welcomes all students back for their first day of classes on Wednesday, Sept. 3.
