Shawna Elleman (“Bear”), Santos Hernandez (“Gates of Heaven”) and Meredith Wakefield (“King of the Pride”) all received awards for their submitted artwork. These exemplary students’ artwork was part of 468 entries that were submitted from schools around Oswego County. HCSD also had 27 entries that received honorable mention.

“The hard work and creativity our students poured into their pieces are awe-inspiring to us on so many levels,” Hannibal High School art teacher Lauren Siskavich said. “We are so excited to see their beautiful work on full public display as part of the exhibit.”

The artwork was judged on originality, technical skill and personal style. This year’s exhibit will run from April 30 through May 20. Each of the student’s artwork will be hung in the Salmon River Fine Arts Center and can be seen during gallery hours.
