Hannibal Democrats Announce Endorsements

At its regular committee meeting held recently, the Hannibal Democratic Committee has agreed to endorse a fine slate of candidates in this year’s election.

The Committee is proud to announce the endorsement of Judy O’Connor Walsh for Legislator of the 21st District,, Dan Mahaney for Highway Superintendent and Adam Labanoski for Town Justice..

Judy O’Connor Walsh is a lifetime resident of Hannibal. She has been employed at the Michaud Nursing Home in Fulton for 15 years. In her supervisory capacity she oversees housekeeping and laundry services, as well as purchasing. Her experience with budgeting, labor and personnel issues and seeking the best values will be invaluable to the county. Her priority as a legislator is to reduce wasteful spending and keep property taxes low. She is very concerned about the future of the town and county and wants to ensure that Oswego County remains a good place to live for our children, our parents and us. She and her husband Bill have two grown daughters and a grandson. They reside on Blythe Road in Hannibal.

Dan Mahaney is currently completing his third term as Highway Superintendent. A former Town Councilor and planning Board member, Dan has been actively involved in many community activities. He is an experienced supervisor with extensive knowledge of maintenance, budgeting, State rules and regulations and emergency response and safety procedures. He has computerized the department’s record keeping to improve efficiency and completed improvements to the town garage to protect our investment in buildings, equipment and safety.

Adam Labanoski has long had an interest in the field of justice. In addition to working full time as a nurse at North Medical Center in Liverpool, he currently operates his own business as a process server. He is also working on a degree in criminal justice , which will provide a sound background for the position of town justice. He and his wife and 3 children live in Hannibal.
