
The Hannibal Chapter of Dollars for Scholars presented scholarships to Hannibal High School seniors at a ceremony held on June 1, 2010.

Dollars for Scholars is a subsidiary of Scholarship America. The Hannibal chapter raises money through various fund raising activities, most notably the annual Ducks over the Dam race. Donations and bequests are also welcome and are tax deductible. All money raised is used provide scholarships to graduating seniors from Hannibal High School.
President Louis Gilbert presented eleven scholarships in the amount of $500 to Shawn Blais, Chelsea Bramer, Cailee DeWolf, Kelly Fisk, Alex Gordon, Caroline Hilts, Sam Malone, Robert Matson, Paul Mogren, Joseph Shortslef and Rebecca Thoreck.

Country Cruizers Car Club President presented $500 scholarships to Jayme Fradenburgh and Leonard Fowler.
The members of the Country Cruizers Car Club enjoy their antique and street rod vehicles, but also strongly value community service. The Club has supported Dollars for Scholars for a number of years, and doubled its support this year in light of the increasing need. The Club also supports the local food pantries with donations each year with proceeds earned by parking cars at the Hannibal Field Days and an annual chicken barbecue.
