HANNIBAL – Eighth graders at Hannibal Central School District recently attended a transition night at the high school to prepare for ninth grade.

High School Principal Stephen Dunn and Middle School Principal Dee Froio as well as school counselors and teachers presented information to student and parent attendees regarding the four years to come.
Many students commented that the transition into high school would be a scary but exciting experience.
The transition night aims to ease the fears and dispel the myths of what being a freshmen is like. Some of the topics covered were: graduation requirements, course offerings, bell schedules, extracurricular activities and homework.
Principal Dunn assured the audience that with some effort on both sides, the transition should be smooth, and he reiterated the numerous resources available through the school.
