Scenes from Dr. Seuss books leaped off the pages and onto the stage at Hannibal High School during a recent concert.

The performance started with current hit music sung by the school’s all-female pop choir, and quickly transformed into an evening of musical theater.
Student musicians introduced the Broadway-style component after working with Larry Goldberg, director and founder of the Christian School of Performing Arts.
Under Goldberg’s tutelage, the students choreographed a routine and dressed in full costume to bring famous Dr. Seuss characters to life.
Decked out as everyone from the Cat in the Hat to Thing 1, the students sang and danced their way through several songs, which earned them a thunderous applause from the audience.
In addition to the Seuss-inspired songs and the pop hits, graduating senior Haley Wilber performed a senior solo, “Defying Gravity.”
