Kindergarten students from Fairley Elementary School in the Hannibal School District visited the Hannibal Fire Company during Fire Prevention Month in October.

The students toured the local volunteer fire department and learned about fire safety.
Hannibal Fire Chief John Gombas introduced the students to “Flash” the fire dog who drove his own small fire truck and shared safety tips with students.
Lt. Matt Waldron and firefighter Matt Congdon demonstrated going down the fire pole to the students.
Each student took turns sitting in the fire truck before going outside to watch the fire hose demonstration.
