HANNIBAL – Fifth and sixth grade students from Dennis M. Kenney Middle School performed a full lineup of songs during a recent holiday concert.

An audience of family members, peers and teachers filled the Lockwood Auditorium nearly to capacity for the Dec. 16 performance.
Although the overarching theme focused on traditional holiday songs, a performance of “Blue Christmas” brought the crowd to its feet.
Accompanied by sixth grade band members, Elvis (physical education teacher Dan Pawlewicz) took center stage as he belted out the 1968 hit.

Once Elvis left the building, the fifth and sixth grade chorus students followed with songs such as “Blackbird,” “Shake it Off,” and “It’s Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas.”
Vocal soloists included Haley Hollenbeck, Andre Burns and Anastasia McCown.
