HANNIBAL – Hannibal High School faculty, staff and students greatly exceeded their initial fundraising goal and raised $450 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, earning some of the donors a chance to pie an administrator.

Students who donated were given the opportunity to choose if they would like their name entered into a raffle to be chosen as the “pie-er”. Their name was entered into the raffle for each dollar they donated.

The initial goal was to “pie” the administrator who received the highest amount of donations. But after crushing the initial goal amount of $100, it was announced that all six administrators would be “pied.”

Participating school administrators who volunteered to be “pied” included Athletic Director Jim Drancsak, High School Assistant Principal Kathy Mahoney, High School Executive Principal Meredith Furlong, High School Principal and Career Resource Specialist Steve Dunn, Assistant Superintendent Dee Froio and Superintendent Christopher Staats; as well as Security Officer Ed Brisson.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer and donor powered charity committed to supporting the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.
