Harborfest Adds Three To Its Board

Oswego Harbor Festivals, Inc. recently welcomed three new members to the board of directors. Dan Dorsey, Jr., 2nd Vice President of the Harborfest Board and Chairperson of the Nominating Committee recommended Brian Chetney, Mike Domicolo and Mike Myers to each serve a three-year term on the board. Members of the board of directors unanimously approved all three nominees.

“We feel that adding Brian, Mike and Mike to our board will improve the overall diversity and quality of our board,” said Dorsey. “All three were very enthusiastic in their acceptance to our invitation and we thank them for joining our board. We look forward to working with them for at least the next three years.”

Chetney, Youth Services Director at the Oswego City/County Youth Bureau, has been an active member of the Harborfest Children’s Committee for a number of years. Chetney is also employed at Chetney Real Estate in Commercial/Residential Sales. Chetney also serves on the Oswego YMCA Board of Directors and is the Vice President of the Board of Directors for Oswego Youth Soccer.

Domicolo, is the Supply Chain Optimization Manger at Novelis and has served on the Harborfest Programming Committee for several years.

“I believe that my many years of manufacturing experience will be helpful in bring new ideas and updating others to continue to make Harborfest a success,” said Domicolo.

Myers, is a member of the Oswego City Common Council serving the City’s Second Ward.

In addition to the new board members, six board members, Amanda Baker, Sean Callen, Nancy Czerow, Dan Dorsey, Jr., Chuck Handley and Ed Proto accepted invitations for additional three-year terms. For Baker, Callen, Handley and Proto, this will be their second three-year term on the board; it is the third three-year term for both Czerow and Dorsey.

“All our board members work extremely hard every year to make certain we put on a quality festival that the community can be proud of,” said Board President John Scardella. “I want to welcome our new board members and thank the six board members who graciously accepted our invitation for another term on the board.”
