Harborfest Adds Two Board Members

OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Harbor Festivals recently welcomed two new members to the board of directors.

Dan Dorsey Jr., second vice president of the Harborfest board and chair of the nominating committee recommended Jacob Mulcahey and Amy Tresidder to each serve a three-year term on the board.

Members of the board of directors unanimously approved both nominees.

“The board is very appreciative that both Jake and Amy enthusiastically accepted our invitation to join the Harborfest board,” said Dorsey. “We are excited to have the opportunity to add diversity to our board, and we look forward to their input and leadership over the next three years.”

Mulcahey, a native of Oswego County, is a member of the Carpenters Local 747 and the 15th District Oswego County Legislator.

“I am happy to be part of an event that brings so much to our community,” said Mulcahey.

Tresidder, a 30-year resident of Oswego, is the Oswego County Legislator from the 16th District.

She was employed at the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program for eight years.

Active in the community, she is serving on the board of directors of Friends of History in Fulton and Rice Creek Associates, has served as president of the Oswego Association of Business and Professional Women and has volunteered as a La Leche League leader for more than 20 years.

“As a county legislator in the 16th district a large portion of my district is affected by Harborfest. Serving on the board will give me insight and an opportunity to provide input on behalf of my constituents,” said Tresidder.

Tressider and her husband, Ernie, have five children and two grandchildren.
