
Oswego County Head Start Preschool will be holding an Open Enrollment Day on Thursday, January 28th from 10 am to 2 pm. Head Start is a preschool program for 3- and 4-year-old children with the primary goal of promoting school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children. The program includes nutritious meals and snacks, encourages parent involvement, and family support.
Enrollment applications will be taken at OCO’s Midtown Plaza office in Oswego located next to Joann Fabrics. Families interested in enrolling their children for the remainder of this school year as well as enrolling for next year are encouraged to attend.
Head Start Preschool is provided at no cost and is available to families with incomes at or below federally set guidelines. Head Start is the longest running national school-readiness program in the United States. Since 1999, more than 4,000 children have been students of Head Start Preschool in Oswego County.
