OSWEGO, NY – Health educator – outreach worker Janelle Hutchinson of Oswego County Opportunities’ Health and Nutrition Services has announced that planning is currently under way for the 2010 Teen Health Conference.
“Last year’s conference was a great success and we’re working to make this one even better,†said Hutchinson.
The 15th annual Oswego County Teen Health Conference will be held Oct. 28 and 29 at Camp Hollis in Oswego Town.

Operated by the Oswego City / County Youth Bureau, Camp Hollis provides the perfect setting for the Teen Health Conference, which is open to high school youth throughout Oswego County.
An annual event, the conference aims to provide Oswego County youth with the critical physical and emotional health information necessary to become healthy, functioning adults.
This free event will offer teens an enjoyable two days filled with lots of fun, food, and learning.
Hutchinson said that the committee is currently developing the schedule and theme for the conference.
Previous conferences offered workshops that covered issues such as healthy relationships, substance abuse and teen parenting.
“We welcome input from anyone who lives or works in Oswego County as we are looking forward to providing youth with a memorable experience,†added Hutchinson.
The next planning meeting will take place April 26 at 3 p.m. at Oswego County Opportunities’ Youth and Family Services offices located in the bottom level of Oswego’s Midtown Plaza at 75 E. First St.
