OSWEGO, NY – Oswego High School senior Henrik Ehrhardt is a semifinalist in the 2009 National Merit Scholarship Program (16,000 semifinalists nationwide).

He was congratulated by Oswego High School Executive Principal Pete Myles, Guidance Counselor Lisa Roman and OHS House Administrator Barb Wheeler.

Becoming a finalist is based on student PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) scores.

Semifinalists may move on to become finalists, and earn a monetary award, based on the review of their application and outside achievements (about 90% of semifinalists become finalists).

Merit scholarships will be awarded to about 8,200 students.
