FULTON – Fulton’s historic Mt. Adnah Cemetery, 706 E. Broadway, will be hosting its free tree lighting event, at 7:00 p.m., Dec. 6, it was announced by Robert Burleigh, president, Mt. Adnah Cemetery Association.
“All are welcome to join us for the festivities at our annual tree lighting,” Burleigh said. “There will be free drawings and the chance to usher in the holidays while we remember and celebrate those who can’t be with us.”
Mt. Adnah Cemetery was founded in June 1851, is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places, and it is open to people of all faiths and beliefs. The cemetery is comprised of 44 acres and the word Adnah is Syrian, meaning “rest” or “repose.”
