FULTON, NY – Not even the harsh nip of Jack Frost was enough dampen the warm holiday spirit that filled Lanigan Elementary recently as the school celebrated its second annual Holiday Fun Night.
Although early weather forecasts threatened to cancel the event, it simply was not enough to keep everyone away from an evening full of food, fun and holiday memories.
The festival was packed with fun filled games for children of all ages and various holiday-themed craft tables.
One of the most popular attractions was the Book Fair, a small store set up for students, their families and friends to buy books and educational accessories for the holiday season.
While enjoying the evening with their children, parents were also encouraged to pick up their fundraiser candy orders.
Lanigan Principal Dan Johnson said, “This is a great opportunity for parents to come in to pick up their candy orders and have a great time with their kids, all at the same time.â€Â
The event, which was absolutely free to attend, is one of several held by the Parents At Lanigan School (PALS) group at Lanigan throughout the year to bring families together and encourage parent involvement.
