VOLNEY – Volney Elementary School is full of honest children.

It was a difficult task, but each classroom teacher narrowed their selections down to one student to receive a Classroom Role Model Award for exhibiting honesty throughout the month of February.
All 19 recipients received special recognition during a school assembly, in which parents, guardians and others also attended.
Principal Todd Terpening happily presented the following students with a Principal’s Award: Alina Izyk, Cooper Lavallee, Cadence Nipper, Cole Christie, Aiden Neal, Kenadie Hart, Emilyn Moshier, Arianna Burden, Hannah Wells, Chase Clark, Corbin Hayes, Nathaniel Osborne, Holly Cornell, Hyle Stuber, Carter Zimmerman, Nasir Noel, Abbigail Gist, Sara Belrad and Ellie Parkhurst.

He also recognized the following students for having made great strides with an academic, behavioral or social goal:
Ryan Varnum, Jocelyn Vant, Angel Rivera, Lucas LaBeef, Hayliegh Sixberry, Olivia Bennett, Zoey Hamilton, Jake Bouchard, Nathan Smith, Ronald Noble, Christian LaValley, Ayden Bigelow, Camren Rothrock, Mya McCarthy, Noah Stock, Cassandra Clarke, Deverick Reidell, Alexis Sacco, Amber Dumas and Nick Barbagallo.
