Hotel California Set To Perform During “Rev & Rock” Festival On August 14th At Oswego Speedway

Nationally known Eagles tribute band, Hotel California, is set to perform this summer at the Rev & Rock Classic Rock Festival.

OSWEGO, New York – Nationally known Eagles tribute band, Hotel California, is set to perform this summer at the Rev & Rock Classic Rock Festival at Oswego Speedway, according to Chuck Handley, Chairman of Rev & Rock Festival Committee.

The event, to be held August 14th on the infield of Oswego Speedway, will kick off at 2:00 p.m. and include live music, multiple food vendors and attractions, high energy and relaxation. Advanced-sale tickets, available now, are $20 per person, and $25 per person after August 1st.

Following the demise of The Eagles, Hotel California banded together in 1982. Their mission is to fill the music world’s void with, “A Salute to the Eagles.” Hotel California brings five respected; multi-talented, top music industry professionals together to faithfully and accurately reproduce The Eagle sound.

Each concert presents an exciting showcase of Eagle mega-hits such as “Take it Easy”, “Heartache Tonight”, “Hotel California,” as well as newer releases “Get Over It”, and “Love Will Keep Us Alive.” These timeless songs appeal to audiences of all generations.

Band members, famed on a first name basis, include Dicky, Wade, Phil, Scott, and Steve. Dicky on vocals, mandolin, harmonics, as well as acoustic and electric guitar, has also played with groups such as Boston and Van Halen. Wade, also a vocalist, contributes keyboard, percussion, and acoustic guitar to the group. At the young age of 23, Wade was the lead singer for the original band, Croox. Drummer and percussionist, Phil, has been signed to five major labels. He signed his first contract at age 17 and went on to create the sound track of the 80’s classic film, St. Elmo’s Fire.

Scott is a vocalist, plays bass, and handles the special effects for the group. He has shared the stage with notable artists such as WAR, the Commodores, Atlanta Rhythm, Wayne Cochran and the Diamonds. Steve, another vocalist, also plays the banjo, acoustic, double-neck, and 12 string guitars. He is an accomplished songwriter, and has opened for the Little River Band, Dave Mason, and Randy Meisner of the Eagles to name a few.

Three other nationally known tribute bands will also be performing at Rev & Rock including Changes in Latitudes, Draw The Line, and Separate Ways. Also on the schedule is Oswego’s own original southern rock band, Frostbit Blue.

According to Handley, Rev & Rock guarantees its audience a diverse collection of music and entertainment throughout the day. All four-tribute bands will provide a unique compliment to some of the music industry’s greatest performers of the past 50 years.
