Huhtamaki Champions For Children

Huhtakamaki raised over $23,000 for the Child Advocacy of Oswego County via their annual golf tournament.

FULTON – October 12, 2026 – The Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County (CAC) is proud to announce that Huhtamaki’s Golf Tournament, held on September 26, 2026, raised more than $23,000 in support of children and families throughout Oswego County. As a once-yearly event with hundreds of deserving charitable causes throughout Oswego County to choose from, the CAC is incredibly grateful to have been selected by Huhtamaki as this year’s recipient of funds. This generous support will help further the CAC’s mission of providing critical resources and services to children and families impacted by abuse.

As a child-focused, trauma-informed organization, the CAC brings together law enforcement, child protective services, medical professionals, and other members of its multidisciplinary team to help minimize additional trauma for children navigating abuse investigations. These funds will help sustain essential services, including forensic interviews, therapy, and connections to additional resources and support. Additionally, funding will support the CAC’s education and outreach initiatives, which work to raise awareness of child abuse, promote prevention, and equip community members, educators, and other professionals with the knowledge and resources needed to recognize and respond to signs of abuse. By strengthening community partnerships and expanding access to prevention education, the CAC can continue working toward a safer environment for children throughout Oswego County.

“We are grateful to Huhtamaki, its employees, and everyone who participated in this year’s golf tournament for choosing to support the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County,” said Executive Director Tory DeCaire. “Their generosity helps us provide specialized services to children who have experienced abuse and support families through some of their most difficult moments. Huhtamaki’s commitment is a powerful example of what we mean by ‘Stronger Together’, a community coming together to protect our children, support healing, and remind families that they are not alone”.

Huhtamaki, a global packaging manufacturer with a regional facility in Fulton, New York, plays an important role in our local community.
