OSWEGO, NY – On Saturday and Sunday, September 12 and 13, the Oswego County Humane Society will have cats for adoption at the PetSmart store in Oswego as part of PetSmart’s National Adoption Weekend.

Pets will be available for adoption from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Prospective owners will have the opportunity to choose and pick up their new pet after references have been checked.
Those adopters who are interested in going home the same day with one of these pets should bring veterinary references and, if they are renters, bring written consent from their landlord in order to take the pet home.
They should also bring a sturdy cat carrier.
The adoption fee is $50.
Such fees cover a portion of the veterinary expenses that the Humane Society incurs.
All animals have been spayed or neutered and each animal is current with shots and has also been checked for ear mites and parasites.
All of these animals have been rescued by the Humane Society, sometimes from difficult conditions.
They are now living in private foster homes and are therefore well socialized.
Foster families have the opportunity to report how well they get along with other cats, dogs and children and what they have done to spoil them.
Pictures and more information can be located at the Humane Society’s web site at www.oswegohumane.org
