Hundreds Turnout For OFD Open House

OSWEGO, NY – Hundreds of people visited the Oswego Fire Department Open House on Saturday.

The event was held at the East Side Fire Station.

Firefighters were on hand to answer questions, give tours and conduct safety demonstrations throughout the day.

Kids were able to try on fire gear, check out tools and even spray water from a real fire hose!

Other public safety agencies such as the Oswego PD and NYS Troopers were on hand promoting seat belt use.

Oswego Health, OCO Cancer Services, Lowe’s, and the Oswego County Traffic Safety Council were also there supporting the event.

Refreshments were provided by Domino’s Pizza, Dunkin Donuts, Frito-Lay and the Oswego Firefighters’ Association.
