OSWEGO, NY – Justin Jaskula, licensed massage therapist, has joined chiropractors throughout Oswego County as a participant in Chiropractic Patient Appreciation Day.
The event supports the United Way of Greater Oswego County.
Located at 55 E. Bridge St., in Dr. Anthony Licatese office at University Chiropractic, Jaskula will offer 10-minute chair massages for a $5 donation to the United Way.
While specializing in specific injury and chronic pain management, Jaskula uses a blend of massage techniques based on each individuals needs.
According to Jaskula the benefits of massage are many.
“Massage offers a wide range of health benefits such as the capability to alleviate lower back pain, increase joint flexibility, enhance immunity and lesson depression and anxiety just to name a few. Experts estimate that upwards of 90 percent of disease is stress related. And perhaps nothing ages us faster, internally and externally, than high stress. While eliminating anxiety and pressure altogether in this fast-paced world may be idealistic, massage can, without a doubt, help manage stress,” said Jaskula.
A life-long resident of Oswego, Jaskula is proud to support United Way.
“It’s important to give back to the community that I grew up in. I both admire and respect all the United Way does for our community and I am happy to help,” he said.
Dr. Licatese, who will also be participating in Chiropractic Appreciation Day, echoed those thoughts.
“I am pleased to be able to help such a great organization as the United Way. The wide range of programs they support help to address issues that are crucial to health of our communities. I invite my patients, as well as other community members to visit my office April 30 for the good of their own health and to help support our United Way,” said Dr. Licatese.
Dr. Licatese, along with other participating chiropractors, will provide treatments for current patients and examinations for new patients in exchange for a $15 donation to the United Way of Greater Oswego County.
Those interested in taking advantage of Chiropractic Patient Appreciation Day are urged to call the participating chiropractor of their choice, and / or Jaskula, to schedule their appointment as soon as possible.
Patient Appreciation Day is sponsored by Oswego County Doctors of Chiropractic Representing the New York State Chiropractic Association.
All proceeds from the day will benefit the United Way of Greater Oswego County and the many member agency programs that it supports.
