Jay Caiella Honored For Distinguished Service

MEXICO – Josephine (Jay) Caiella, a speech language pathologist for the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation, was recently honored by the Central New York Speech, Language, and Hearing Association as the 2015 Distinguished Service Award Winner.

At an award ceremony held in Syracuse on May 7, Caiella received her award before many colleagues throughout the Central New York area, something she described as being an honor.

“It meant a lot to me to be honored by my fellow speech pathologists,” said Caiella. “I had the privilege of working alongside many wonderful colleagues and administrators in my employment sites over the years.”

Caiella said she has received support from her colleagues throughout the course of her career, as well as help in developing ideas for instruction that resulted in the success of students.

“I enjoy my position as a speech pathologist and am happy to be appreciated for my dedication as a service provider,” Caiella said.
