OSWEGO, NY – Students in the Kingsford Park “Kids Care” Club recently organized a fundraising week of “Jogging Suits for JDRF” (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) in effort to raise awareness and support of fellow classmates who deal with the everyday challanges of managing diabetes.

“Because juvenile diabetes has affected many of their classmates and close friends, it was decided by the club to organize this fundraiser to show their support for their friends and their hope for a cure,” noted, Kids Care Club advisor Marylynne Maxwell.

During the week, students at KPS were encouraged to wear their jogging suits and make any small donation possible.

The club raised $77.88 and made the donation to fellow students who participate in the Annual “Walk for a Cure,” which is held in September at Long Branch Park in Liverpool. missing or outdated ad config
