John C. Birdlebough High School Seniors Earn Scholarships

OSWEGO COUNTY – John C. Birdlebough High School recently celebrated the achievements of its graduating seniors during the annual Dollars for Scholars Scholarship Night, where 29 students were awarded a total of 59 scholarships worth $237,000.

The evening recognized students for their hard work, dedication, and accomplishments both inside and outside the classroom, while also highlighting the generosity of local organizations, businesses, families, and community members who support graduating seniors through scholarship opportunities.

“These students have been able to maintain standards of excellence both in and outside the classroom,” Principal Thomas Bailer said. “So tonight, we say congratulations and scholarships supporting them to fulfill those dreams beyond high school. Thank you to those people providing financial support, to the presenters who were able to be here, and to the Dollars for Scholars Scholarship Committee for their work in selecting recipients and organizing this event.”

The scholarships will help students pursue a variety of post-secondary pathways, including college, technical training, military service, and career preparation programs.

Scholarship recipients included: Elizabeth Morrison, Toby Farrar, Karley O’Connell, Samantha Hopps, Lilly Brown, Luciano Cacciola, Plant Sweeney, Amelia Barrow, June Moore, Mason Capenos, Aurora Rose, Samuel Cianfarano, Eli Bailer, William MacDonald, Gracelynn Loy, Giana Raponi, Jonathan Capenos, Madelena DiGiovanni, Jack Kocher, Michael Farnham, Regan Southworth, Sara Speich, Logan Bean, Shane Landis, Emmy Strop, Emma Dates, Duncan Mackridge, Kendall Barnes, Brandon Slater, Michael Goudy, and Elizabeth Bullis.
