Join Cleveland Historical Society For Annual Fundraiser

CLEVELAND – Mark your calendars for the Cleveland Historical Society’s annual fundraiser and membership drive.

The event runs from 4 to 7 p.m. on January 21 at the American Legion on State Route 49 in Cleveland and includes a spaghetti dinner, silent auction and book sale.

“The experienced cooks in the historical society will prepare a dinner of spaghetti, homemade meatballs and sauce, Italian sausage and bread, salad, homemade desserts and beverages,” said Kathy Darrow, vice president of the Cleveland Historical Society. “As always, it is a great opportunity for people to come out and enjoy a delicious meal, visit with friends and family, and support the historical society.”

Dinner prices are $8 for adults, $5 for children aged 6 to 12, and free for those aged 5 and younger.

Tickets can be purchased at the door and take-out meals will be available.

Guests can also participate in a silent auction, membership drive, and book sale which includes the newly-released “The History of Oswego County, N.Y.” and Anne Hopkins’ books of post cards from Cleveland, Bernhards Bay and Constantia.

The group is looking for both active and supporting members and dues for the year are $10 per person, $15 for two people, and $20 for a family or business.
