Participating fourth, fifth and sixth grade girls formed groups and worked cooperatively to choreograph the routines, according to Leighton Elementary School physical education teacher Debbie Lavner.

“They had to set goals, problem solve, compromise, listen to each other’s ideas, be respectful of each other’s differences and celebrate those, and most of all have fun in a physical activity,” Lavner said.

Participants of the Kidnastics event included: Emma Armet, Anna Cloonan, Ayanna Gonzalez, Maria Jock, Miah Metott, McKenzie Partlow, Aurora Baker, Angel Croci, Sydny Frantz, Addyson St. Onge, Mary Kate Cloonan, Isabella Rodriquez, Kendall DeHond, Linsey Lawton, Julia Murray, Olivia Tobin, Carrie Brooks, Sophia Brosch, Megan Cheeley, Ava Cloonan, Emily Eastman Idalina Rodriquez, Liz Rowand, Madison Casper, Luvlee Croci, Gretchen Dowd, Jillian Knopp, Mia Marsallo and Ella Shambo.
