OSWEGO, NY – The Kinney Drugs Foundation is helping to improve the patient experience at Oswego Hospital’s Maternity Center with a donation toward a new c-section recovery room.

Kinney Drugs Foundation has made a $5,000 gift that will assist with the purchase of a state-of-the-art radiant infant warmer, a cardiac monitor and other related maternity equipment.
“We are grateful to the Kinney Drugs Foundation for their continued support of the healthcare needs in our community” said Karen Ferguson, Director of the Oswego Health Foundation.
Kinney Drugs Foundation President, David McClure, said of the donation, “We’re partners in the community and the purchase of the maternity equipment fits perfectly with our mission, which is “Helping People Live Healthier Lives.”
Maternity Department Director, Kim Hyde said, “ The new dedicated c-section recovery room will give new moms and their babies the opportunity to bond more quickly. This equipment allows us to keep the new mom and her baby together during that vital initial bonding time. This room adds to the already great services we provide to our new families in the maternity center.”
